Cynthia Fromstein Barristers is a criminal defence firm in Toronto GTA, with cases in Toronto, Brampton, Scarborough, North York. Our lawyers work throughout Ontario. The firm's founder not only has successfully represented clients on all manner of criminal matters since 1984, but she also is a noted legal authority in several areas of criminal law.

David Connally has worked alongside Cynthia since 2009. After David articled for Cynthia Fromstein Barrister they practiced in association during which time David Connally established himself as a skilled advocate. He is now in independent practice and Cynthia and David continue to work together on many cases.

Jamie Kopman received his J.D. in 2014 at Bond University where he helped pioneer their first legal clinic. He is noted for his tenacious advocacy and strong courtroom presence. Mr. Kopman is in independent practice and works alongside Cynthia Fromstein to provide clients with the best representation possible.

Former per diem Crown Attorney and appointments by the Attorney General: In addition to nearly three decades of experience as a criminal defence lawyer, Ms. Fromstein previously worked on a per diem basis for the Crown. She has also been appointed by the Attorney General to cross-examine child witnesses in sexual assault cases and to defend against third party records applications. Having argued matters from both sides gives her insights and knowledge that she can use to benefit the defence of her clients.
